Requirements
- Min. 2 years’ experience in the galley operation
- Experience in a 4* or 5* operations
- Conversational level in the English language
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Awareness of waste management and recycling
- Self-organized, disciplined, reliable and a team player
- Stress tolerant
- Familiar with a multicultural working environment
- Willing to assist with other duties
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and courteous service at designated workstations in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Retain full knowledge of food menus and company recipes
- Welcome and greet guests according to company standards
- Ensure proper setup and procedures at the assigned workstation as per company standards
- Take an active role in creating a positive work environment between all departments
- Support and relieve the dishwasher when absent
- Ensure correct food items rotation (FIFO), storing, labeling, and temperature control at the assigned workstation
- Inform supervisor immediately about any guest complaint
- Notify supervisor of any breakage and damage of equipment and machinery
- Maintain cleanliness front and back of the house according to HACCP and safety regulations
- Ensure correct handling of all equipment, machinery, and chemicals
- Participate in all safety drills and ensure solid knowledge of designated safety role
- Report any potential safety hazards
Additional tasks for Entremetier/Garde manger
- Ensure proper setup, “mise en place” for assigned station
Additional tasks for Omelette’s station
- Always wear a clean and presentable uniform
- Greet guests in accordance with company standard
- Ensure cleanliness and completeness of the buffet
- Support the restaurant team at the buffet station
- Ensuring proper setup and “mise en place” of the buffet station
Side Tasks
- Participate in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings
- Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor, e.g. luggage service, loading, and garbage off-loading
- Assist with monthly inventories as per supervisor's instruction
- Assist other departments as per supervisor's instruction
