STE_Chef de Partie (on board luxury river cruise ship)

to bring the wonder into the culinary experience of our guest

Your expected tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Fully responsible for his assigned on board position according to Scenic standards
  • To be present at all daily lunch and dinner briefings with the supervisors
  • To ensure the menu is followed by the given instructions and given materials
  • To control over productions and wastage, limit of wastage according to food-waste control procedures
  • To maintain and when require adjust the flow of the line as per instructions from the Sous-chef or Executive Chef
  • To ensure an elegant and attractive food presentation, as well as taste and correct temperature.
  • To follow strictly all guide lines given from the supervisor
  • To ensure punctuality with service hours according to the  daily program, and to be ready on time for meal times
  • To supervise food preparation and handling in accordance with HACCP standards

We expect from you

  • An apprentice as a chef or culinary school background
  • Good standard of European cooking background, min. 3-5 years cooking experience, preferable as Demi-chef or Chef de partie in 4 or 5 star Hotel or cruise vessels.
  • EU  or CH citizen or in possession of a valid work permit
