The Role: We seek a talented and experienced 'Cruise Director - Vocalist'.
Description Brief: As 'Cruise Director - Vocalist' aboard Scenic Ocean Cruises, you will lead and deliver an exceptional onboard entertainment experience for our luxury guests. As the face of entertainment onboard, you will host events, engage with guests, and create a vibrant atmosphere throughout each voyage.
Drawing upon your performance, presentation, and hosting skills, you will oversee the daily entertainment programme, host enrichment activities, introduce guest speakers and performers, and deliver memorable social events. A key aspect of this role is performing as a vocalist in production shows, solo cabarets, and other entertainment events, requiring a strong and confident singing ability.
Working closely with the Hotel Director and Heads of Departments, you will ensure all entertainment offerings align with Scenic's luxury standards and contribute to an outstanding guest experience. This role requires a talented vocalist, confident host, exceptional communicator, natural people person with a passion for hospitality, guest engagement, and creating unforgettable moments at sea.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Cruise Director or similar guest-facing leadership role
- Strong vocal ability with the confidence to perform in production shows, solo cabarets and other entertainment events
- Previous cruise ship experience, preferably within a luxury environment
- Strong entertainment, hosting, and guest engagement abilities
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with multiple departments
- Must be fluent in English, written and spoken
- Valid STCW Basic Training certification
- Valid Seaman's Book
- Valid ILO-approved Seafarer Medical Certificate
