Commercial Manager – Scenic/Emerald Waterways US
A great opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a growing specialist tour operator. Responsible for reviewing and analysing data and trends, monitor market competition, develop and expand on pricing tools, evaluating ad-hoc reports as necessary and maximizing gross profits. You will be assessing sales, make recommendations for offers across the brand. You will be able to present data and interactive with other departments making suggestions for improvements.
The main responsibilities/duties will include:
Excellent knowledge of revenue management concepts, tactics, and processes
Analyze and monitor the market dynamics and the evolution of demand, competition and seasonality to determine and adjust the company's pricing.
Continually monitor and make suggestions for improving the effectiveness of campaigns
Carry out specific analysis to identify any opportunities and enhance the performance of brand, territories and products.
Implement adequate pricing strategy for all customers segments (Agents, loyalty, prospects) and liaise with relevant stakeholders
Manage discount budget – including weekly report out to executive team
Represents US Market @ Weekly Yield Management Meetings
Ad hoc projects to improve current yield management
Production of reports to manage all commercial revenue within set budgets.
Pricing of all products – Brochure Pricing, Special Offer, Tactical pricing and Charter
Coordinate the timely and relevant flow of pricing and marketing offers to internal departments;
Competitor review and analysis. Action plan on course of action on pricing/offers
Responsible for achieving margins
Margin calculations and analysis including monthly, quarterly and annual production of data
Reporting: Creating, maintenance and supporting analysis of yield/discount and margin reporting across all business functions needed for weekly & monthly meetings.
Support departments in areas requiring analysis/report building
Minimum three years of relevant (pricing, yield or revenue management) experience
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Ideal candidate will have revenue management, forecasting and modelling experience within the travel industry.
