Sales Consultant (Boston)

Job Purpose

To achieve sales of Scenic and Emerald Waterways’ products by taking responsibility for handling inquiries, booking and amending reservations. Representing Scenic Cruises’ core products to travel agents and direct consumers in Canada and USA by providing 5 star services to external and internal customers who contact Scenic’s Customer Service Center. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Receive inbound telephone calls, web and email requests from customers in relation to inquiries and/or bookings of Scenic and Emerald Waterways’ product range.
  • Accurately identify customer requirements and offer solutions
  • Produce accurate air/land quotations and Booking Advice's
  • Assist & educate team members and travel agents
  • Execute all booking procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • May be asked to specialize in Inbound, Outbound, Flights, Quality Assurance or Documentation tasks.
  • Use customer service and selling skills to seek customer commitment to buy and close the sale.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new products, maintain product knowledge and assimilate new job related information.

Job Requirements:

  • Requires 5-Star service skills.
  • Self-motivated to achieve sales incentives
  • Able to adapt to new products & systems
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills
  • Initiative, positive approach, team player
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Travel Industry experience; Sabre knowledge a plus
  • Flexible schedule that may include some weekends
  • Love working in a fast paced environment
  • Eligibility to work in the USA (visa not sponsored)
